Just got back from camping today and pulled up and went to engage the parking brake and no ratchet. It wouldn't lock out. The brake still works but just won't stay in the locked position. Before I go out and pull it apart I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem and found a fix already? Trevor |

Ok, so nobody has had this problem. Any tips during the removal and reinstallation process that will help things go smoother, or to avoid doing at all. Thanks TrevorH |

I broke the internal spring once. Had to renew the whole thing. Guess I was too busy and pushing the ratchet too far backwards to get the centre console past the ratchet. Probably You should withdraw it from the vehicle to check the mechanism. Could be smth loose or need of oil, but you will probably be in for a 2.hand one. Frode |

I did this when I put my CDL kit in. What a pain. I was able to lube it and get it to work somewhat, but I still have to the let the handle slam back down for the button to pop back out. |
