From the XKS.COM catalog:

Oxygen Sensor, thru 1995, 2 reqd RVR-ERR6729

Oxygen Sensor, 1996-on, 4 reqd RVR-ERR1834

Oxygen Sensor with Advance Evaporative Loss, 4 reqd RVR-AMR6244

So, which is needed for a 1997 DI? What the hell is "Advance Evaporative Loss". What models does it apply to?

Thanks,

Tom

Here is the parts manual, check out part 26 on the page. It lists the three different types.

Here is an answer I got over on pirate4x4. All of you guys in the archives who bought generic O2 sensors, maybe this information is relevant to you...

Tom-

Check and see if your rig has either a round or square charcoal canister. Round canisters are non-advanced evaps, and square canisters are advanced-evpas.

If you are non-evaps, don't buy the err1834, order the err1834k instead. They are half as much.

Hope this helps,

Craig
