Has anyone used the dash repair kit from roverconnection? Does it work and look OK? Color match Ok? my dash has curled up like a tidal wave.

I think it is used pretty successfully in general. I believe that it looks better originally, obviously, but compared with the amount of work to achieve that, ie pics above, it is worth it.

German, that's craaaazeee! but boy the final work looks good! I'm just too lazy for a "weekend retreat", so I'll just settle for second best and go with the roverconnection fix-it kit, since both Kevin and Clif are thumbs-up. Kevin, how long did it take you to install? the drill angle is obviously awkward. Thanks guys!

I placed the kit a little over a month ago. Look in the archives on some pointers on how to do this. BTW I found it at the local dealer cheaper then I did at RC.

My dash on my '95 was peeling off 2 or so years ago. I contacted Rover customer service and they called the dealer to fix it for free!

The best way to go. This is a worldwide problem and Rover is fixing most of these for free. Don't take "no" from a dealer. Go above them to corporate.

Way to go Jay! it'd be cool if Rover eats the cost. It's only right since my $3 rubbermaid lunch box handles the heat much better than that. It's a shame to use cheap plastic like that on a $40k rig, and right where you have no choice but to stare at it whenever you're behind the wheel. Jay, are you the original owner? Or did they even care to ask? Did they give in right away or did you have to escalate to a manager? I'll call them next week! Thanks.

fyi, I called Land Rover service to nag about my "tidal wave" dash and used friendly and not-so-friendly persuasion to try to get them to eat the cost of repair at the dealer but no cigars. Their answer is repeatedly that they're only responsible for repairs while warranty is still in effect. The only exception is if the owner has already made a fuzz about it on record while the warranty was in effect and this is an on-going or recurring problem. Guess I'll order that dash repair kit now...
