Anyone know the Safari roof rack sold by Atlantic British? Are they relatively strong? They are only $299 and seems to be cheap.
It said no drilling. That's what I like the most. But do any of you know how it get attached to the gutter? is it strong enough?

It is a relatively light weight rack. It will clamp onto the gutter rails, It all bolts together not much sturdier than the factory luggage rack with a Yakima basket attached

I have other rack options if your intrested

Charlie,

$299 only gets you the rack basket. You need to also buy supports. I (weighing 225 pounds) have the AB safari rack and have stood all over it and rocked it and the truck without any problems. The supports are very strong tubular steel while the basket is aluminum. I've added a 1/8 inch thick mesh floor for my 50X84 AB (Surco) safari rack which weighs and additional 40 pounds.

Mark
