I just completed a system for my TJ using a York compressor mounted to the top of the alternator. The system uses a v-belt off the alt pulley to run the York compressor's pulley. Add the required plumbing and electrical and blammo...Puts out tons of air! Enough to run air tools and fill tires in a jiffy. Anyway....Can this be done in a Disco? Or can the existing air conditioning compressor be tapped into to provide and air supply? Yes my ignorance is only surpassed by my quest for a killer rig! |

It should be, all be it a little tight, possible to install it at bottom left hand side of the engine (looking from the front). Although I haven't done this yet but wlanning on it in a couple of months. |

Currently, I'm using a Sanden for on board air as a quick install. But the York is sitting on the shelf waiting..... |

What about a power tank? Been thinking about that for mine. |

I got the power tank regulator from Steve. ...then I went to the local coca-cola distributer and bought their CO2 tank. $75 for the tank and $18 bucks to refill. It is huge and lasts forever.... My .02 |

CO2 is a quick no-brainer install. If you can build your own system it is also an extremely cheap one. http://www.discoweb.org/trailair/index.htm Tom |
