I just got my replacement bumper in the mail today ( many thanks to Robbie Donaldson) and was wondering if there was anything special I needed to do. Should I disconnect the battery? Or any other oddities? Thanks in Advannce. |

Jay, I'd just replaced my front bumper last night(or rather earlier this morning @3am!). It's real simple. You don't have to disconnect the battery. There are four long bolts securing the bumper to the frame, two on each side (crawl underneath, you'll see them right behind the two "bulges" of the bumper. Then you'll need to remove two small nuts at the edge of the rubber end caps(right at the lip of the wheel well). It might take a little friendly persuasion of a rubber mallet to take your bumper off and putting the new one on. Good luck! Jay, you didn't buy your bumper retail did you? I got mine free courtesy of Eric fournier... he was also local so it really didn't cost me a dime! |

Thanks for the advice Peter, I actually just finished! (9:40 est) it went well; did it in about an hour or so. I didnt pay retail for the bumper, I got it basically free courtesy of Robbie D. (he charged a minimal fee) it was a great deal though. |
