Not to loud of a noise, but a clunk comes from the front, either the transmition or maybe front dif. Is this normal, or should i take it to the and have them look at it. It's still under warrenty. Oh yeah, I have a 99D1 if that helps. Thanks, Zak |

It's not your or your diffs its your front trailing arm one or both just take a wrench with a 1"3/8 I think thats the size socket and tighten them. Very easy if you have a socket set that large. I had the same problem feels like a clunk right under your feet. |

Excuse my ignorance, but where is the trailing arm and what does it look like. I think I have the same problem but I can't find what to tighten. Does anyone have any pictures of that? |

maybe I'm calling it by the wrong name but it runs from your front axle up to the body and it ends under you feet. There is a large bolt on the back with a couple of rubber bushings in front of the bolt. |

lol...well almost correct they run from the front axle to the frame not the body replacing the bushings with some new ones that arent all dried cracked and smooshed is a better way to fix the problem ...IF that is the problem |

Maybe I'll take it to the dealer and have them look at it. They love fixing stuff over there, as long as it's under warrenty. Plus my salesman gets really upset when something goes wrong with the car so they give me tons of new parts. He also go really excited when i told him we were going to use it off road and I drove it in covered in mud and branches sticking out of it. Although this is a good excuse to go out and buy that larger set of sockets i will need now!!!!! And maybe an on board air compressor to use tools with too!!! I love this truck!!!! |
