My rear driver side window has stopped going up and down. I heard a loud pop when it stopped working. And now, my front passenger side is making that same noise. I'm assuming that it too will stop working here shortly. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks! Mary 95 Disco |

Regulator is bad. OR, a plastic gear cracked. Typical crap. |

cracked plastic roller on the regulator. parts about 65.00 easy job about an hour a side. take off the inside door lining loosen the bolts that hold the window to the regulator. I had mine up when i did it I taped the window to keep it up. remove regulator swap motor to new regulator and reinstall. everything. i think it's important to put the motor in the down position when you put it on the new regulator. |

My driver side window does did the same thing. Pulled everything apart and fixed it ( gears were off track) --only to have it break again. Guess I will order window lift parts (motor was fine). An extra person to help hold the window seemed necessary for me. |

Just had the same problem. It wasnt the actuators though. I pulled the window ecu apart to find a broken / split solder connection. This affected both the rear windows though. Just a thought. Ian R Melb, Aust |
