dont feel so bad, i did the same thing, i used a syringe (sp.) to get the resovour empty then open the bleeder on the steering box and let it run til i saw red. i then let run a bit and emptied it again and continued the process til i saw nothing but red. took about two quarst (actually a lil more i was over cautious). its messy as heck but it worked. mike w |

thanks mike, where is the bleeder located on the steering box, and did you open it while the motor was on or off. I have ran it about a week do you think it will cause any problems. thanks Jerry |

is there a less messy way to drain all the PS fluid besides letting it run out of the bleed screw and onto the floor? |

I actually did this before, and went to the dealer to have them deal with it. They told me not to worry about it, that PS fluid was fine. And I was out of warrenty, so would have paid. FWIW |

if your Disco is like mine.... just drive it around for a few days... when the fluid spots beneath your rig stop... refill with the proper fluid. i keep telling my wife its a feature not a problem. its the rigs way of constantly flushing out the old fluid. |
