I know it's been flogged too long, but are there universal joints available for the cardon joint on the series II front driveshafts?
If so, are the zerks accesible realistically?
Still trying to decide if I want to go with OEM or aftermarket. |

From asking around, I have learned that there is an available D2 cardan (hooker) with grease fittings. Talk to the folks at Great basin.
However, if your vehicle is still under warranty, then maybe your dealership can help. I am 2.5K away from the 30K service and am going to have it looked at then before I make my final decision to replace it or not.

Paul, GBR sells the greasable ujoints for the DSII dc joint. The front greasable joint on the shaft will actually fit the rear dc joint. The units supplied by GBR are spicer joints and are $39.99 each. They are a unique size and are a low volume unit, thus the higher price. I'm trying to get my dealer to just order two replacement greasable joints and put in my shaft in lieu of replacing the whole shaft with another non-servicable unit. |
