Not expanded metal. Looking for some type of poly/plywood or somesuch sheeting that I can pop on and off the roof rack to provide flooring, and add very little weight. Strong enough to hold the weight of some gear, but not me standing on it. Any ideas? Ron Ward |

Has anyone ever tried to locate the stuff they use to make those bacteria-resistant cutting / breadboards? I've always thought that stuff would make great flooring; easy to cut and router, totally water-proof and I've seen it as thin as <1/2" in thickness. If you carried the material with good support on its edges, it should hold up to any distributed load and some light walking while stowing gear. I didn't have time to really research the stuff and went with the no-slip expanded on mine, but I really like the idea of the cutting board stuff with some aggressive grip tape. Cheers, e |
