I bought a 2001 DII last August & since I brought it home it has been leaking trans fluid. I returned it to the dealer & the first time they replaced the gasket & after two weeks it started leaking again, so about three months ago I took it in & they said the torque converter was draining into the overflow tube & that is what I was seeing, so I let it go another three months & last week had the dealer fix it again this time they said the breather hose was kinked so they re-routed the hose & put a new pan gasket on & used alot of form a gasket from the looks of it. Now after one week it is still leaking worse then before. P.S. I only have 4k on the vehicle & most of the miles have been back & forth to the dealer which is 185 miles each way. My question is has anyone else had this problem & could leaving the vehicle sit for 1-2 weeks without using it cause this. Thanks for any help. Brian |

I had the same problem. The dealer replaced the gasket and that was the end of the leak. I wonder it they did something weird to your gasket when they replaced it (over or under torqued bolts...etc). Good luck...Dave |

Dave, Thanks for the help. The firt time they said the gasket was crimped when it was done in the factory so they installed a new one. It was okay for a couple of weeks then the same thing. I will climb under there & try to see were it is coming from now. Brian |
