My tailgate will not open. The lock goes up and down ok, but the outside handle is stuck in the "IN" position and nothing I do will un-stuck it! I even tried to kick the door out from the inside. I've lubed the exterior parts, but no luck. This is the third time that this has happened. The other times, the door just un-stuck itself after a few days. Any suggestions? |

This happens on my 95 occassionally. Stick a long flat head screw driver up and pry down the handle (on the outside), then spray WD-40, PB Blaster, whatever your flavor is up there and it should open like normal. Robbie |

A common problem. Same thing happened to me and there have been other posts with your same question. Use lots of WD-40 and stick the straw in the handle.Let is sit for a while and it should work loose. You may not have to pry. |
