was curious if anyone had any experience with the thatched roof diff gaurds...we just talked about the sliders and they seem to suck...so i was curious about the diff gaurds...for the price you can't beat 'em...thanks,jess

Jess,

First, no, the sliders don't suck.... can't beat 'em for the price. Yeah, if price wasn't an issue, I'd say Rovertym, but if you're watching pennies, well....

But the diff guards, I like a lot.... I don't know that there's any out there that I would like better. There may be, but not for the money.... these things are beefy....

IMHO, FWIW....

Jess, I would go with Dee's diff guards, very nice looking stable looking product. Check under the "for sale" section under "just made a new batch" and you'll find what you need

Leslie,

Rad the thread they do suck. They do not offer any protection. I had a set. They look nice, that's why I ordered them but once you see how they mount and can cause damage I think you would change you mind. Please visit the thread that Jess is refering to.

I DID read the thread, Neal, and posted there, too. I don't know why you had trouble with yours, but I've seen Jeff A's being used, and they DID protect his truck. Maybe the ones you had were different, I can't speak to yours, but the Bearmach ones that Jeff got from David work. No, they're not as sexy as Rovertym's, but they're half the price.

FWIW....

Sorry I did see afterwards that you were at the other thread. Mine are Bermach- perhaps a different design but most likely the design that they are currently selling since I bought them a few weeks ago. I would stay away from them. Want to put them on your truck and try for your self? :-)

If the wife'd let me, yes, I'd put 'em on her Disco, and know that I was better off than I would be with the factory plastic in place....

Jeff has had his on for 6 months or so, I think, so, I don't think the design would have changed that much in the meantime....

Hmmmm..........
