I'm not sure if this has been asked before but here goes:
I was studying a D2 key (with built-in remote) and noticed that the KEY part of the assembly is the same or nearly the same as the D1 key-possibly allowing for a cutting for a D1. Can the remote be reprogrammed or the guts changed out for a D1? Has anyone tried?
I just hate carrying 10 sq. feet of remotes and keys in my pocket.

the key may work but the remotes will not.they are programmed different.d2 is programmed by bar codes to truck.d1 is programmed by pressing the buttons with testbook. |
