I called a local auto wrecker about a CD player and he has one from a '98 but he won't sell it to me because I have a '99 D1. Isn't the CD player the same between '98 and '99 D1 or do ALL '99 have the Alpine unit (D1 and D2). Thanks, Todd |

A '99 D1 should have the Pioneer unit, the same as the '98.... explain to the person that yours is really one of the left-over '98s that was called a '99 before they switched to the DII.... Caveat Emptor..... lots of these used changers, don't work.... Be careful.... -L |

I too have a 99 Disco 1. The CD player is the same as the 98. I agree with the previous post, buyer beware. I would drive out to the wrecker place and hook it up before you give the guy any money(it's real simple the truck is pre-wired). That way you can show the guy that a 98 cd player will work in a 99 Disco. Maybe he will give you a discount because he doesn't know what he is doing. LOL. |
