Was under my Discovery yesterday trying to spot the air conditioner drain tubes. Found 2 short stubs coming out of the floor pan walls, one above each side of the transmission. Looks like there should be something attached to these stubs. Should there be some longer tube extensions attached here to drain down below the level of the transmission? Right now, they drip down on the exhaust pipes.

Onionman,

You sure have a great last name to be a Rover owner!!!

If you name your kids "Oil" and "Power Steering" you're sure to be a Rover legend...

;-)

I'm sure you've heard all of these before...

Just kidding around,

Yeah, heard it all before.

Actually, the name is spelled l-e-e-k, just like the onion. Hence, my nickname. Rumor has it that one of my distant ancestors back in Merry Old England in the 1600's was the first to begin cultivating wild onions as a cash crop. Supposedly, that's where the name comes from.

Some story, huh?

That's kinda cool, nice to have a little family history to pass on...

Have you noticed any fog coming from your vents when you have the AC on? Apparently one of my AC tubes is plugged as well, and I have fog on a regular basis... Gotta climb under there and get slimed!

PS Had some leeks last night with a grilled fresh striped bass - excellent!

Sounds like a great meal: fresh bass with fixings.

No, no fog from the vents. Just concerned because the drain drips directly onto the exhaust pipe. I can't imaging that is good in the long run.

my rear tube dripped on and rusted out my rear resonator that then dumped all the hot exhaust onto the rear step mounting bolt then then melted a hole in the fuel tank...scarry!
