They have a "D3" for sale and I was just wondering if anyone has had any positive or negative experiences with them. Has anyone here driven the new disco yet? thoughts... |

I bought my 98 disco from there with a no-warranty and when i drove it back to the hotel the back door latch all of a sudden didn't latch. And even though it was five Ken (the owner) called his mechanic back and i brought the car over and they replaced it right there for me. They are really good guys with fare prices. Also a lot of customers from outside of Georgia. Go for it! |

Hello.
Seem to be good guys. I bought a disco from them back in Jan 02 and haven't had any problems. They didn't give me the traditional dealership tank of gas, but I couldn't complain because I got such a great deal. |

I bought a '00 DII with 10K miles from BV in January '01. They are honest and fair. I use their service dept for oil changes between factory servicing and most of the time Ken can squeeze me in even though I show up at the worst times.
I will definately look to BV for my next LR.

Yeah, no BS! They wouldn't budge on the over-priced D2 that I wanted. And please, allow me to walk out BEFORE you throw my business card in the trash and snicker. My offer WAS reasonable. Thank god for the private seller. Other than my freind's D2 lemon, that's it.

This was in Aug 01, and it was for a "plain jane" 99D2 w/a little over 51k on the clock. "Plain Jane" means STRIPPED, NADA, NOTHING. BV wanted $29,900. I offered $25k or $26k "drive out" if I remember correctly-could be wrong. I could have purchased a brand new Disco for a little more than BV's price once tax was added. That would/could have been a NICER Disco with stuff and not a SD type. I'm not bitter. They're just proud of their trucks. |

When I was looking in late '99, they were very rude to me. They wouldn't return calls, they totally blew me off, even though I had my cash ready and told them so. I gathered from his condescending attitude that it was because I was a young woman. I was asking serious questions about the cars and he wasn't willing to answer them because I couldn't possibly understand. I got a lot of "honey's" and "sweetheart's" and they just really ennervated me. I do have to say that the majority of my bad experiences there was with one particular person, and it was a long time ago, so things may have changed. It's still a bunch of men running a car dealership in the south, though, so I doubt if things have changed *that* much! |

Never bought a truck from them but sent in a pic with my rover and dog. Later I called to order a rear tire cover and they gave it to me for free. Were nice to me. |

I have also never bought a truck from them, but have been to the shop a few times...all of them are very nice people. They also gave me a spare tire cover and a t shirt... |

Some southern men have not yet learned (or accepted) that chics wheel! Sometimes you just have to beat them over the head with it. Sorry you had a bad experience with them though. I think it's much the same for women trying to take vehicles in for service. Unless you walk in with MechanixWear gloves and a Snap-On cap, they'll think you're ignorant.
You do have to realize that probably 99% of women who DO drive LR (and probably 90%+ of men) don't know squat about their trucks and don't want to know. Try not to take it too hard and be persistent with people like that.

I haven't had any experience with them but I have seen quite a few Disco's here in Charlotte with their tire covers.

I bought my truck from them. It was a good price and they gave me what I asked for my trade. For the most part they were great to deal with. They responded quikly and were helpfull after the sale with a couple of maint. issues. One of the guys is rather rude though. I think it is just his personality. I did not let it bother me. He did what I asked, just added a little attitude to it. No big deal. I am satisfied with my purchase and would reccomend them to anyone.

I don't remember his name right now. Even if I did, it wasn't that big of a deal. I think that there is only a few guys that work there and you pretty much deal with all of them. I didn't have a "salesman" like I'm used to on a lot. We took care of 90% of the sale via e-mail and fax. When I arrived the truck was waiting on me in the condition that I expected. The guy I'm talking about probably just did not kiss my ass as much as I expected! That is why I wouldn't worry about it too much. I would definetly do business with them again...even though I love a good ass kissing!

After a few years of looking at their website, I finally decided to buy a vehicle from them (actually, I leased it). I was very pleased with the vehicle and the transaction. If you go to their "customer comments" section of their website, you'll see my note (from "Mark in Alabama"). They found exactly the vehicle that I wanted (and I was very particular) and I saved a ton. Go read my testimonial and the other testimonials.
