I am thinking of buying a 2000 D2 and when I was undernearth the truck checking the goods I noticed that the frame does not have an undercoating or wax sealer, whatever its called. Its just bear metal and I live in the Northeast, I am going to see rust on that thing soon. Is it just that truck without the undercoating or is it all of the D2s. I think it would be pretty stupid of Land Rover not to treat the frame with that stuff. I mean even the Exploder has wax on its frame. |

Nope, no wax on my '00. But it is painted, not bare steel. Sorry. |
