Should I wait until I get a trouble code, or should I replace my oxegen sensor periodically?

Nothing really. Someone told me that I should replace it since I have 105k miles. He did it in his car and he noticed a performace boost.

250-8004 Replaces OEM numbers:

No we checked those and are not Rover friendly. Its the coating on them that rover requires. I wont sell a product that can potentialy dammage your ECU,

But by all means you can try the 39.00

Ours are direct replacements not ones you have to modify, We sold over 1000 of them this year

Have you tried their sensors yet Anon? With what your info says, it is not quite right. 4.0 has 4 wires from the sensor, and needs 4 sensors total. The 3.9 has 3 wires from the sensor and only requires 2 sensors. Not sure how Rover friendly they are, but their info sounds all wrong. Just my observations.

Thanks DD and RD, that's exactly what I thought when I checked the OEM # for my 95. The last time I checked 3.9L aint quite 4.0L not to mention the price for a 95 is listed as $86.99 (not quite $66.99 as quoted). Must be that new math they're teaching these days....eh!

Robbie is 100% correct. Do you think we don't do our research. If any one has used the cheepie ones listed by the cave dweller let me know. We buy directly from the manufacturer and there built to the factory specifications. I still belive for the money were offer the the best sensors

Your right Bryan the older 3.9L style is more:
OEM-style
Sensor with Connector
Your cost: $86.99 In Stock? Yes
One required
Number of Wires: 3 Titania (Euro
Service Life:100,000 miles.
250-8002 Replaces OEM numbers:
Rover 73365A, PRC 7062

There plug in no mods needed for my 97. Only 4500 on them so I guess time will tell.

I sure liked it better when Nathan was running the show!

Disco_Dad:

I've watched your posts since you first set foot on this board. I hate to say this, but you are rude and arrogant. And you are getting worse! Your opinion seems to be the only one that matters. You get defensive whenever someone has a different opinion than you. You are shamelessly hawking your products on a free bulletin board. Decidedly uncool.

I like and respect Nathan Crabtree. I've met him personally. He is a very genuine person and really tries to save us all money. I'd hate to see you do harm to his business. Nathan took his time to grow his business by working slowly to establish himself as an an authority and valuable resource. He was more about saving us money than selling us products. And he never came off as pushy.

My suggestion would be for you to back off a bit. It's obvious that you know quite a bit about Rovers, but you have a lot to learn about people. Nobody dies if someone disagrees with you. That is the purpose of this BBS. Also, everyone knows about Discount Rovers, so constantly pushing products gets old quickly. There are much better ways to promote Discount Rovers.

Look at John Bradly-Smith. He takes a little abuse from time to time but he is always there to lend a hand if need be. He has earned his respect the hard way and everyone (and I mean everyone) holds him in the highest regard. He's selling so much stuff that he can't keep anything in stock. Also, there are the guys from Expedition Exchange. If anybody has a right to push products on this website, it would be them. Yet they don't. Hmmm. Please back off a bit and learn from these most respected vendors. Also, put up some pictures of your Disco in the DiscoWeb gallery or on the Discount Rovers Website so we can learn more about you. Right now, you are way over the top.

I've put my email address below if you want to communicate with me directly. Also, Nathan has my home, cell, and work phone numbers. So you can call me if you want.

Thanks,
Mike B.

No offense Dee but Ditto on some of Mike's points

People will know to call you. Let others (like me :) ) tell them where to get parts. It actually works better that way IMO. I can say sure I bought o2s from nathan they were as advertised and worked perfectly, he also got me the head gaskets I needed and was helped me figure out some odd ball parts I was looking at.

I mean if you have sold close to $100,000 in 02 sensors you have to be doing something right.

How about listing all that you have/carry on the website? Everything I have inquired about Nathan has had or was able to get.

Best Regards,
Ron

PS bad form to attack your competitors

Ron, Thank you for your comments, this is not directed toward you

I may have been a bit over zealous in trying to get the word out about my joining Discount Rovers. My motives were not solely about making a sale. I always have tried to offer good economical choices that I have found, but it seems to have been perceived by some as a Shamelessly Hawking my wares. I have been plugging Nathan and other Honest sources like him since I started coming on this board. So now I am in the business I have no opinions in reguard to product choices?

I am not as arrogant as MikeB believes me to be, my passions for Land Rovers and 4 wheeling are second to none, by my trying to pass on some knowledge and lessons learned, I guess came across as arrogant, Ill tone the volume down for the ones i have offended

As for plugging Discount Rovers, I did ask permission from our hosts, and received a go for it. I dont want to abuse my privilege to post here so I will confine sale items to the classifieds and our web site

I dont understand the bit about attacking my competitors, Please explain that to me who did I attack and when?

And my being rude. I think I am minor league with that charter trait around here. I guess I could mask my so-called rudeness and post as an Anon. I could place some writing styles with names; it would be funny to see the ips used when posting as Anons

Mike B,
I agree about Nathan Crabtree, He is a great guy and I would not willing do any thing to hurt his name or reputation if I have done so in your opinion I do apologize sincerely for that.

No call need I get your point

Good night all

Dee
