Anyone have any suggestions of what to do with stock fog light switch? I recently removed my front air dam which had the foglights and hooked up a pair of IPFs on the brush bar. I now have the IPF mouse style switch and and factory fog switch not hooked up to anything.

Thanks
Matt

I'm moving my stock fog lights under my truck tonight. It will be the portable worklight/bitchin ground effects type deal. I'm thinking one in the back facing forward-downinsh and one in the front (I'm not sure where to mount this one) facing backwards-upish. Just an idea if you still have those lights.

So the fog light relocation is complete (along with air dam removal and bumper trimming). The end result is somewhere between incredibly useful and utterly rediculous.
Useful: Undercarriage lit up completely for maintence work. Also, on my late night wheeling run light was cast out from the side of the truck so I could see rocks, ruts, stumps, etc. in tight squeezes. Real cool.
Rediculous: Looks like I should be running 18" chrome rims.

It took about an hour and a half of lazy working to complete the project. I made new brackets out of 1.5" x 1/8" aluminum ($6 at Lowe's). I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.

I was thinking about re-mounting them as well, I would love to see pictures of your brackets and what you mounted them to, etc. if you have time. Thanks a lot.

I haven't forgotten about the pictures. I'm just a little slow in operating.

Here we go...

The really helpful pictures didn't come out. You can buy the aluminum for the brackets at Lowe's. I mounted the brackets with 2 self drilling sheet metal screws. If you have any questions send an email. Sorry for the delay.

Matthew-
Being that the factory fog switch is just a switch, you should be able to wire just about anything to it. Perhaps a NOS fogger system? Or you could just use it to control additional lighting (like Hella 4000s).

Ramsay-
Undercarriage lighting? Sounds cool. Instead of 18" Chromes you could also put some colored bulbs and get that floating neon light look that was so popular in the Miami lowriding scene.

Jay,
The fogs underneath are solely for work purposes. How stupid would it be to add incandescent lights under my car to have a 'lowrider' effect. That's what my 6 feet of neon tube is for. I'm working on installing a flame thrower on my muffler. By the way, anyone know how much a Disco I drops when you torch the springs? 1, 2 inches? Peace out!

Full of shit,
JR

Alright, now we're in buisness...

1,bracket

Sorry for the delay guys. It was really an easy project and I've found it to be most helpful when working or stuck at night. Later on!
