What size copper washer do I need for the drain plug? Need to change the oil, and want to have correct one on hand.

Is this a dealer item? Does anyone have the size so I can just get it at an autoparts store? Can I skip the replacement?

If you skip replacement, you'll have to torque it more than last time, so is not convenient - or it will develop a drip.
I'd get one from the local stealership, go to autostore, and there get a handful of them...
I run 200tdi, so are of no help as I guess You're V8.

From my own measurements:

ID: 21mm or 26/32"
OD: 27mm or 1 1/16"

Thanks,

Thanks for the guidance! It should save two trips to the parts store...

I used a 22mm washer, and it seems fine. It was thinner than the one I took off, but I have spotted no leaks. I wish someone had told how hot the oil would be. I had to type this epistle with my nose.
