There was a recent message from someone who mistakingly put PS fluid in their reservoir. Well, I did the same thing and now I'm trying to bleed the system. I know I need to loosen the screw on the steering box but I can't figure out which one it is. I have a 99D1 and there is a 19mm bolt raised in the center which I have tried to turn but cannot, even with rust remover, etc. There is also a very small bolt to the side, still on top, but under the hoses. Is this the screw? Of course there are four bolts around the outside but I don't think these are the bleed screw.

Help please, thanks--

can't quite see it in this photo, but it's at the tip of red arrow. Looks like a zirc fitting. Don't turn too much too quick or you'll make a hell of a mess...

I dont think youre gonna hurt anything by adding power steering fluid. Also, when you bleed through the nipple, plug a tube on the end and have it point downwards into a catch for the fluid to drain to.
