That about says it. I want to find the cable for the speedo/odo. I noticied today when I had the Inst panel out that its an electronic speedo so its a wire I guess. Where on the does it come from and does it go through any other boxes, etc. Also are the speedo and odo off the same wires/input? My speed occasionally just stops and goes to 0 and then comes back. I want to check connections and wiring. Lastly, when in the Inst panel I unplugged a wire by accident and my SRS light is now on. HOw do I reset. WIll unplugging battery do it or not? IF not how do I do it? Thanks Todd |

the speed transducer is located on your transfer box in front of the brake drum.most problems with speedometer is 95% of the time a transducer fault.when it gets worse it will cut out the engine injectors and cause a missfire.(this is rovers way of a rev limiter).it is also a common problem.your srs light needs to be reset with a scan tool on 96 and up.if you had your srs light unpluged und turned your key on it will set a fault. |

on vehicles prior to '96, you still need the scan tool to extinguish the light. Don't worry about it, you'll get used to the light. |

Is the speed transducer the same as (VSS) vehicle speed senser and is it difficult to change out. Also, who sells them. |
