I'm looking at possibly having at least one sunroof installed for the coming summer. LR dealer has already recommended someone to install it.
Anyone have thoughts on what I should look for if I decide to get this done.
Anyone install one themselves?
I have a 99 LR Disco SE model. |

I have a 99 Disco 2 with an after market roof. Its my understanding that many of the 99 Disco 2s have after market roofs becasue they could't get the first models that year from the factory with them. I think most dealers probably have a place that did them for them then (and now), which is good becasue they got lots of experience. Mine looks and functions (knock on wood) great, and even closes on its own when the key is turned off. They even uses a LR switch, so all of the switches look the same. |

Mine was installed by "ASC" in the Southern Cal area. Same sun roof as linked above.
It works good no leaks or operation problems. the interior shade is a bit cheep in looks and rattles around a bit.
I would like to add the factory sunshade to it but I have not looked into it, and if it will work.
Has any one added that to an aftermarket sun roof? |
