The one Kyle is selling looks nice and sturdy, makes me wish I had an adventure rack. |

Frank, it all depends on what you're mounting it to. But the best mount keeps the jack easily accessible when you're in a bad situation and need it. Kyles is cool but may not work well if you're mounting to a bull bar or garvin rack. |

FWIW, I see some folks mounting it on their ARB. This is easy access to the Hi-lift, but hinders you for opening the hood. Personally, I mount mine on the inboard side, at the aft end of my adventure rack using Kyle's mounts. This is very sturdy set-up. Some folks mount theirs on the Rear Tire carrier. Like Al said, it depends on your set-up. Paul |

Paul, I've seen two versions of the setup on the ARB. One is mounted using the antenna tabs on the bumper and the other requires holes to be drilled on top of the bumper for new bolts. My guess is the setup you have seen is using the light tabs. Drilling holes moves the hi-lift forward more and away from the hood with the foot of the jack off to the side. I keep mine on my Garvin rack but I've been thinking about moving it to the bull bar for easier access. |

i used the $G rear tire mount for almost a year. it was nice for a while. lately the rear door has began to droop causing it to strike the guide plate in a odd fashion. i must say i am disappointed, although i was warned by the intellects of D-Web, but like so many i failed to heed good advice. mount it somewhere other than on the rear door. also i would avoid leaving it lay around on the floor of your ride, you never know when an oops may occurr and that thing may just fly about the cabin of your Disco. mike w |
