I was just out starting to install my ARB indicator/running lights, and I noticed there is a large grey plug looking deal inside each headlight space that is not connected to anything. It has numerous wires running into it and almost looks like a recepticle for a relay, but I don't think it is. This is not the stock fog plug in as that is under the wheel well. Anyone have any clues?

My truck is a 2001 SE if that makes a difference. Could this be preinstalled wiring for a driving light kit? I'm searching RAVE but have found nothing yet.

On a different note, on the RAVE CD I found an item called "fog light cut out switch", and the pic is of the rear light compartment. Whats that for, out of curiosity?

Thanks,
Greg

Ah...so you're installing poseur running lights now huh Greg?! Is that suppose to match the bargain of a roof rack you have? Or balance out the short-er Hilift? See the problem is...

Sorry, just busting balls. I just had to, I couldn't help it. I don't have the answer to your question(s) but I'm sure someone else will. Just a boring Saturday morning (@ work ) and I felt like acting like an ass

Wonder if the rest of the world gets the headlight leveling setup that d1s did, except in USA and thats what the plug goes to

Could be Chris. We North Americans can't be trusted to level our headlights :)

Not sure why the rear fog lights would have a cut out switch but I'll have to look into that.

lol................... you guys are too much. You coming to MAR Glenn?

I put those damn stupid orange marker lights in the ARB that they felt needed to be there. I hate them personally, but the wholes look worse. I guess that goes with their insurance concerns. I mean, the stock bumper didn't have orange markers. At any rate, I got them nice and soldered into the side marker wiring. Didn't want to screw with the turn signals and worrying about the trailer light............... etc.

At any rate, regarding the little grey switch looking deal, I'm not sure what it could be. I scoured the rave, but couldn't find it. I did get a look at Pauls SD today and he had them too, so it can't be just related to the SE.

Maybe it is the headlight leveling feature that we don't have. I'll check that on rave.

Oh yeah, Glenn, Bite Me ! :)

Ah, and yes, Jack-All is the poseur jack of choice. Especially the shorter version. I guess I need to take some measures to move that before the next set of pictures shows up. hehehe.

Of course I also need to work on my picture angle so I can just tell everyone I got a DII rack..... hehehe

LOL....Greg, yes I'm about 90% sure I'm coming to MAR. I'll try to see if we can convoy. Man... that would be the ultimate poseur convoy!
