Just wanted to post a potential warning as a result of another string I remembered to post this. Recently my father's 97 SE7 went into LR West Chester in PA for what was diagnosed as a valve/screw job. His warranty covered most of it but after receiving the vehicle back it was still hesitating at around 50-60 and sputtered constantly with bad starts. As it turned out his 40k 97 had some of the worst fuel injector/fuel rail clogging ever seen in a LR at West Chester. The fuel rail capacity was reduced to about 25% of original spec. The injectors were the same way. With only 40k on the vehicle it's hard to attribute the blockage to owner error. They removed the injectors and cleaned them individually, eventually they just replaced them. Just as the truck was ready to pickup for the 3rd and final time a D1 rolled in with the exact same problem. Just an FYI to those with similar problems. |
