Can you lift a SLS equipped Disco 2? I know there are some tricks to make the rear airbags always on their highest setting, but I would prefer getting rid of the system completely, and just use some coils in the back. Is this possible? I was thinking of an OME lift. |

You can either swap out to coils or simply trick the rear bags to lift 2". Swapping out to coils will require that you disable a circuit to eliminate the SLS error light. Otherwise it is pretty straightforward. I did the SLS sensor trick and wouldn't have it any other way. It is pretty cool to be able to jack up the truck an additional 2" (if needed)over my current 2" lift. To trick the sensors just fab two simple spacers from plastic or Al flat bar. Drill holes 3/4" to 1" apart and place the spacer between the rear radius arms and the SLS sensor where the two currently attach. |
