Has anyone tried using a temporary hood cover of some sort, instead of painting the bonnet? Just thinking about it during the commute home today. Seems like you could make a neoprene "bra" of sorts and just put it on if you wanted to make a night run. Then, you wouldn't have to paint or sticker the bonnet. Any thoughts, suggestions or comments? |

Mr. Davis.......... Thanks for chiming in. Have you since painted your hood? Mine is light also (white) and I know it will be a problem. gp |

No. I'm 6'4". If I paint my hood or apply a decal, I won't be able to see the overhead traffic lights! Besides, my rack hasn't arrived yet so my lights are sitting in my garage. Just couldn't pass up the opportunity to give you a hard time. |

A friend and I had talked about making a bra-type-thinger, but figured it would be easier to just paint it and look better to. Are you or why aren't you interested in painting/decal? |

Well, Clif, I haven't decided one way or the other yet. Just seemed like the bra idea wouldn't be permanent. Also, as it would only get up on when I was venturing somewhere off road at night, I wouldn't have the typical bra problems of worn paint. Just a thought that I was curious about. I'm sure I'll end up just gettnig the sucker painted. Tahnks, Greg |
