My '98 is just about out of warranty. The dealer's plan is $1,820 for 2yr/22k and $2,540 for 3yr/85k. Getting extended warranties in Cali is tough after the new laws took effect. From what I've seen it's Hal Moses or LR. I don't mind paying a few more $ if the LR warranty will mean fewer hassles. Is there any chance of negotiating the price?

Well, I'll just say that Hal with his wonderful plans just screwed me. Stick with anyone else.

Hal's warranty just saved me 1100 for warranty work. Just got warranty 2 months ago. Get the elite plan it covers nearly everything.

I have Elite but have not used it. What did you have done Snowchutes? I'm interested on finding out how easy it was dealing with them? Did you use LR or a local mechanic? I purchased 2 months ago.

Anyone got a contact point for Hal - E-mail or phone. I have a plan with him but lost the paperwork. Thanks.

Let's hear about success and failures. How easy has it been dealing with the warranty.

You do not deal with Hal after you purchase the warranty. He is just a broker. However, my warranty just paid 1100 to the dealer and it was no problem. The dealer verifies everything with the warranty company before the work is started. No issues, no problems. Except me dealer expierence. I will get into that when everything is resolved. Still fighting with them over some issues.

two different ways they pay for things:

1) they will give your local mechanic a CC # and you are done.
2) you pay for it and they send you a check for the amount minus the deduct.

both have worked fine for me. had API for my first one and now have Buyers Choice. liked API a little better for that reason......used a CC # over the phone.
