I have a 2002 disco that does not have the "nipple" on top of the transfer case required to hook up a CDL lever. A couple people on this site have suggested that I get an older model t/case and switch them out. Although that is a solution I'm looking for options. Can I install a Quaife diff in the center and have the ability to lock it? Does the Quaife act like a limited slip system, and is it on all the time or do you have to engage it? Is it a limited slip or an actual lock? Also once it's installed do you still have to get the lever / selinoid kit or does it have it's own? Ultimately I'd like to have ARB's in the front and back but I have to get this center diff figured out first. Thanks for the help. |

Chris - I have an 02 Disco also and I went the route of finding a used transfer case with CDL bolt (from a wrecked 2001 with 9000 miles). I also installed the electric solenoid kit from Great Basin Rovers. Total cost with installation was about $1500. Rob |
