Everything happened in less than 2 minutes....all at once!!!

Was gently pulling into a parking lot at a shopping center, so I was going slow enough to hear a subtle, yet DISTINCT, grinding noise that coincided with my speed......faster/slower my wheels were going, the faster/slower the grinding noise was.

At the same time, my 'ABS' light came on. When I went to leave the store, I couldn't get out of PARK. I fixed that. It was my brake sensor. I might just pull the bulb out of the dash to estinguish the ABS light.

The "grinding" noise has never been heard again.....been about a few weeks now. What the hell was that? Sounded like a bearing going bad. At least what I heard in the past with some old cars back in my college days. But that usually got worse after a while.

Disco (1998) runs fine. No grinding noise. I have to say, I feel a SMALL, subtle shake/vibration when I'm on a smooth freeway going freeway speeds.

Could the bearings be bad but noiseless?

The wheel isn't wobbly when I attempt to wiggle it. Brakes are tight and secure. Took out, cleaned and tapped the sensors back in.

Any suggestions??

Are you sure the grinding noise wasn't the sound of the ABS going off?
