Hi guys, I see a lot of you have got fault code readers. I was wondering where you got these from and for how much. Im here in Oz and I really dont know of anyone who's got one. WHere do you plug them in to? Does the unit come with the fault codes for the disco? Stupid question but.....How often do you use them? LOL. Thanks for any input. |

www.obdii.com You need a laptop to use this one but it does have a download for Rover specific codes as well as standard. The "connector" is simply two different ends with a standard RJ-45 network cable in-between. One goes in your serial port and the other is just under the steering wheel. It's pretty handy and gives you a ton of other info, not just codes, so you can track the health of things. If nothing else, it makes you seem more intelligent when you have to take it in to a shop/dealer and they are less likely to dick with you. At least that's been my experience. pwc |

So this counts for vehicles of MY 96 and younger. It´s just what I am looking for but I have a MY89 Range Rover Classic. Pity. Is there anything similar for older Rovers ? (Range or Disco). |
