My front window and all sunroofs stop working today. The rear windows works fine. When i press the switch for the front windows i hear a clicking noise by the front passenger panel. Sounds like a relay. I opened both sunroofs after one hour i tried to close it now the sunroofs stop working. I dont know whats going on. Pls help people. Thanks..... Mark |

I don't have a sunroof on mine, but typically others include a manual crank just in case it fails, if you don't have a manual crank, I don't know what else do. On the window, I am not sure if there are tow or one. Both failing at the same time due to each individual motors / regulators are unlikely, thus the culprit could be a Relay / Fuse / Wire. If it is one, then you may have to get your hands dirty. You need to pull the door panel, remove the speakers and the hand rest. Use a flat panel screwdriver to gently tug the (pull) the panel towards you. Make sure the motor is working, if it is then see if the regulator is moving. It got to be one of those. A plastic rotator that rides on the regulator broke on mine. Hope this helps. |

could be the Window Lift ECU is having problems since the sunroof and the windows are having a problem.. in the Tech section, i did a write up for the rears, but in your case, it may be in a different section of the ECU board. since you hear a Click of the relay, you might have a grounding problem to the window ECU. The Ground is on the larger connector and is the black wire (pin 6) |
