Just cleaned my stepper motor on 97 disco and it seemed to resolve my high idle while parked, but my question is that my plugs looked like they've been burning hot. Could this be from the stepper motor?

Also would a fouled stepper motor effect the engine while driving at hwy speeds or is it just strictly only effect the engine while idling?

idling.
when on the hwy, the engine seems to cut out intermittently, then it most likely is the VSS or bad wires
