I figured Im not the first one to think that might be cool. I know they fail, but in theory could it be done?

I'm really not sure why you would want to unless you drive with really dark tinted windows and have a huge white Land Rover decal on the rear window and 20" chrome wheels. But a Disco II with SLS is half way to having EAS if you really wanted a Disco with EAS.

Pretty sure there were a few of 1994 SWB RR that had EAS. The parts would line up as they would be set-up for 100" wheel base. Since it is easy to go from EAS to coils, it would make sense you could go the other way if you get all the parts. It is the getting of all the parts that would be a pain. There are alot of conversions to coils being done at ECR. Perhaps a call to them could give you an idea of the parts cost.

As Al also mentioned, not sure why one would want to do this.

james and al, thanks for reply. I have been poking around and most spring/shock/suspention parts are listed for d1 and rr, thats why i thought that they might match up ok.

why would one want to do this? well, honestly,it was just an idea i thought i would get some imput on, and also i am having trouble with teh little lady, getting in and out of the beast.

I mean, i could probably get a bigger lady, but thats probably gonna cost me more than the air suspention

keep the ideas comming boyz and girls.

Springs will fit between RRC, RR, D1 and D2 with different effects. The shocks may or may not fit depending on the applications. For example D1 shocks won't bolt up to a D2. I don't see why you couldn't do it if you really wanted to. But if thats what you really want to do you might be better off getting a used 4.0 or 4.6 Rangie.
