A code 61 showed up today while I was at the dealership getting my accleration stumble/rough idle problem worked on. I have a bad vac. advance unit for sure, but the mechanic said he couldn't be sure that that is the cause of my problem. Has anyone heard of a code 61 before? I couldn't find it on the FAQ. Also, has anyone ever replaced the vac. advance unit and at what cost? I heard that the vac. advance unit is actually made by Ford???? If so, it might save me some cash ($180 for OEM). |

I stand corrected, the distributor is supposed to be the same as the 1960-61 Buick Special with the aluminum V-8. Has anybody else heard this or tried it? |
