Over the last several months, my driver's side window has been moving slower and slower when trying to open or close.

Is there a way to effectively lube the motor/actuator, or is it essentially on its death bed?

If it can be lubed, should i use graphite, oil, grease, or what?

Hey tom, I had a similiar problem with my 96, it went slow and made a horrid snapping sound about 1/4 way down. I took off the door panel and peeled back the plastic barrier. The lower part of the rod was bent a little, I was able to straighten it out with the window rolled about 4/5th of the way down. I did'nt have anything at the time other than some white ploy bushing grease so I put that on the track and the little 'wheels' that run on the track...
Put it back together and it works great, although my major problem was the binding of the arm, yours may have an electrical problem or something of that nature.. It is very easy to remove the door panel, about 2 minutes so you might just do that and lube it up, see if that works before you get into anything involved..
Good luck, JMcD

tomorovor,

The only thing on the regulators that really goes bad is the plastic wheel, If that is damaged you will need a new one.

Most of the time if it is still working i can be bent back in shape and lubricated, I used some water proof synthetic grease (Lucas)on my drivers door. It was doing the same thing as you
described

Good luck

Dee
