Occasionally when I turn the ignition key on my '97 Disco the vehicle won't start and the dome light dims or goes out. Jiggle the key or try a couple more times to turn in on and the problem disappears. It seems that this is occuring on the first click of the ignition switch, but because it occurs so sporadically it is hard to trouble shoot. It seems like a short, but I have checked the ground wire to battery and looked for loose wires around ignitiion switch. Is this a problem of the infamous ignition switch or something else. Any ideas? |
