My radio is on the fritz. It doesn't work and some of the buttone sdon't light up. Does that give anyone a clue what is wrong with it. I'm driving to Maryland from North Carolina tonight up 301 and it would be nice to have a radio while I'm dodging deers. |

Do you have a CD changer? If it's set to play cd's, the only numbers that will light up are the corresponding slots on the changer that actually have cd's in them. I have had a cd in my changer that was scratched and got the player hung up somehow. Take out the cd's and turn on the radio, then hit the Band button until you get to FM and tune to your favorite station, then proceed. See if it helps. Second, make sure that the volume isn't turned all the way down on the drivers side radio controls (left of and behind the steering wheel) or the radio itself. My wife does it to me all the time. Argg! Sorry, that's the best I can do. At least if you need a new radio, they aren't very hard to install. :-) |
