Traveling down south a friend with a D-2 has Goodyear tires that seem to be cupping on the outer edges. Inflation has been correct? thoughts please? |

Rotate the tires. Rotate front to back, not in an X pattern. That should help extend the life of the tires and even out the cupping. This could be a front-end alignment problem. Since it's both tires are cupping on the outside, it could be too much toe in. It could also be that your friend is pushing the vehicle hard in the turns. That causes the tires to 'scuff' and thus the cupping. Thanks, Mike B. |

Balancing by adding weights to just one side of the rim will cause it . Worn shocks will cause it. Alignment will cause it..... I guess quite a few thigns will cause it .. kyle |

I agree w/ mike except you should cross rotate the tires because they will straighten if they are on the opposite side look at the tires they wear faster on the rear side of each lug, driver and passenger side if you cross them they will smooth out but they may be slightly rougher at first if your getting any sort of vibration. normally you shold rotate front to rear every 3000 to 5000 mi.to extend the life of your tires |
