I am so sick of the lack of power on the DISCO. Everytime I head out on the interstate I put up with the constant shifting from "Overdrive" down to 3rd.

I HATE the fact that I can not control the shifting in the "D" position. It almost always shifts from "overdrive"(whatever LR calls it) down to 3rd skipping 4th.

There are a number of drawbacks I put up with on the DISCO, but this one really ticks me off. I am not a fan of transmission abuse and usually leave it in 3rd until I reach a "relatively flat area".

Anyone else feeling my pain?

what speed are you going? if it's in the 50's it's not a downshift, it's the torque converter locking up.

Usually around 75. I'm not familiar with the "torque converter locking up". Could you eloborate a little bit? I'd like to learn the system.
