That's the sound I get when I turn the key in my 95 Disco. I had the starter replaced by the dealer 1 1/2 years ago, and my assumption is Lucas strikes again. This time, I'm going to replace it myself (Advance Auto parts $238.00 + lifetime warrantee) Just wondering how tough it is. I know I have to remove the front driveshaft before I start. I sprayed all the driveshaft bolts with a penetrant first. I also have the Shop Manual. Just want to know if anybody else has repl. their starter. Thanks. |
