Now, are the fuel filter and fuel pump integrated, or are they 2 separately servicable units? |

Danno, is the filter within proximity of the pump? Or is it located further down the line? What the hell does it look like? leegoldsmith, dude, no, I'm not kidding :-P I've been working on imports (Japanese mostly) for a while and they're layout is different from the Disco's...case in point is the fuel filter, the one in my car is in the engine bay under the intake filter box... |

BTW, you'll need 2 wrenches, 1 to hold the filter fitting, and the other to turn the line fitting. i just used 2 small adjustable wrenches. |

i would reccomend going to wallmart and buying 2 sets of flange wrenches . having two sets is such a crucial thing I you cant believe...most times you need one you need the same size to hold what your turning against. they will prevent you from squashing the fittings if they are coroeded....some blaster/WD40 will help as well. |

The fuel filter is not a genuine item. Almost every brand makes one. Call your local Autozone to get parts number for fram or ACdelco. they are cheap and easy to change. As long as you do not go to the dealer or LR parts distributors. good luck jeremiah |

FWIW, AC-Delco IS genuine.... REALLY! Kinda the way the gas cap with the LR-logo on is also says "Stant" on it.... The AC-Delco I pulled off of my '99 was from the factory. -L |
