When I called the glass place about replacing my cracked windsheild, they told me it would be around $350 AND I would also need a molding part from the dealer which can range up to another $150!!! Does this sound right? Thanks! Mary B. 95 Disco |

I had my windshield replaced a few months ago. The price is alittle higher than I paid at a dicsount auto glass place where I live about $290. As for the trim, the glass guy told that if the windshield had never been replaced that he could most likely reuse the trim and all other parts, which he did. Consider turning the windshield in on your auto comp. ins, the deductable is usually less and it does not count against you toward your premium. Hope this helps. Jeff |

I had mine replaced on my 95 Disco about 8 months ago. I don't carry comprehensive insurance so I paid cash for it. Cost was about $250 but I've known the owner of the glass shop for years and he gave me a great deal. He used the old trim/molding and it's possible it was the original stuff. Unless your disco is older or something else wrong with the moulding I'm sure they can reuse it. Shane |
