...well, almost.

Actually it's the G-4 Challenge sponsored by Land Rover. Off roading and CT-style physical challenges on the east and west coasts of the US, South Africa, and Australia. The US segments will be from New York to Quebec (unknown route) starting Mar 23, 2003. Then on to South Africa, Australia (Sydney to Cape York) and then back to the US, Moab to Las Vegas.

According to the press releases, all current Land Rover models will be included, although how the competition will be staged is still unknown. All vehicles will be painted Tangiers Orange (...I prefer the old CT "Sandglow"....) and outfitted by Mantec.

To register, go to

Cheers

Yes... but I can't see any real wheeling in a Freelander. So what kind of off road driving will it be. I hear lots about the G4 but it sounds more and more like the last couple of years for LR on the CT.

I can already see it... stage one of the event will have the driver run into a Starbucks for a double latte then drive the FDR without spilling any coffee.

I want to join!
Anyone know where to sign up other than the website. Seems that is not going to anyone, but rather for data collection...
Thx

Deepthroat - Other than the physical competition can you give us any insight onto the driving and technical challenges?

Are they actually ever going to email anyone that signed up for competition entry?
