I saw the hidden winch that was on the Texas club site but don't know anyone that has purchased from them before. Any good or bad experiences? Also they had a good price on diff guards, do you need one for the rear or only for the front? Thanks in advance |

I'm afraid I don't know much about them, but they are only a few minutes from my house. They always have Series Rovers in various conditions for sale and plenty of RR's and Series trucks parked around for repairs etc. They seem busy which is a good sign I think. |

Just bought a CV joint from them for my 110 at a great price. I'll buy from them again for sure. Mike |

For the cheapest priced LR parts, you cant beat DAP or Nathan. Both have good service also. |

John, I am putting on a genuine LR brush bar, is that going to be a problem or do I need to get another brand? Mitch |

Mitch, from what I understand, and I emailed back and forth with teh guy from texas a few times, is that the hidden winch mount , mounts between the frame rails, and the brushbar mounts on the outside of them he said that was for a disco 2, so im not sure if they changed it for teh disco 1. im thinking of going that rout as well, nice looking set up i thought. anyone know about the oem brush bar and if it mounts inside or outside the fram rails on a d1? |

Any update on this? I talked to DAP and they said it was designed for the M8000, and would work with the stock bar on a DI. Anyone tried it out yet? It seems like a great option for those of us who want to preserve the stock look of our vehicles. However, the most important thing of course is if it works well. In particular I'm hoping it doesn't degrade the already somewhat marginal stock approach angle. Rob |

I thought about getting one a long time ago when I was still trying to decide how to mount my winch. I decied against it because it puts the winch in a great possition to be bashed by rocks and if you ever get stuck in mud the winch will probablly be burried in it as well. It seemed like a good cheap solution at first but after a weighed the pros and cons for a while it didn't seem viable. Just some stuff to think about, of course another big factor is how often you think you will actually use the winch. -carter |
