For the past two winters with my D2 i haven't been able to see well because the freaking wipers just glide over the ice, the defog is full blast nothing happens. Then i go into the garage and the windshield cracks, not sure from what. So now in preperation for this year i want to put winter blades, but of course they don't fit the LR arms. I called the stealership to see what they can do and they said 40 bucks for new LR wipers or 250 bucks for american arms or shall i say D1 arms for which LR makes winter blades for. Land Rover is fucking crazy with their prices. Is there anyone out there who has had the same problem as me, what have you done? |

I just buy the rubber replacements about the same size as the blades.... I think 205 if memory serves and replace it that way. You can buy it at most autopart stores... Not the metal and all but just the rubber. Takes alittle more time to replace but the cost is great! About $2.50 instead of the 40 the dealer wants.... Just my $2.50 LOL......Caton |

Dan, I share in your misery. The D2 blades suck. Not just in winter either, but any other time of year. Mine simply disintegrate. Right now I have one wiper that is flopping around like body trim on a K-Car. I live in Utah and fortunately it does not rain any season but spring. Winters are all snow though and it is a nightmare. I am going to try Dave Cantons solution although I seem to remember trying that before with no luck. |

lol... we just had a month or two with little or no rain. And the other day on my way home it started to dump. When I turned on my wipers I had Dreadlocks on both wiper arms and couldn't see shit for 11 miles. I feel like I just replaced them too. |

Dreadlocks! Perfect description. Even beats my K-Car graphic |
