How do I remove the gauge cluster on a 94 Disco to replace/inspect the bulbs? I have a nagging feeling like the bulb for the check engine light is either burnt out, or was removed by the previous owner...

Remove two philips head screws below instruments (black panel above steering wheel). Then tilt up the binnacle (feels like it's going to break, but it won't) and with a long screwdriver, depress two tabs at inside/rear/top of the binnacle. It is then off. Unplug binnacle switches (write down which color goes where :) ) and then you can get to the instrument panel.

Sound simple if you know what a "binnacle" is :)

Just kidding Bill, description is perfect, just never used that word tho.
